C8051F920-G-GMR is an ultra-low power microcontroller (MCU) that has been designed from the ground up to be highly power-effective. The MCU features a powerful 8051 core with 25MHz performance along with 32KB flash, 4.25KB RAM and a 10-bit, 23-ch., 300Ksps ADC in a 5x5 mm, QFN32 package. It also operates down to 0.9V and up to 3.6V to enable single-cell battery operation as well as dramatically increasing the battery life for dual-cell applications. With an integrated dc-dc converter and low energy modes to reduce the active and sleep currents, this is ideal for applications such as portable medical products, consumer electronics, industrial monitoring and control, wireless meter reading, portable audio, remote controls and other low-power applications.

• Built-in LDO regulator allows a high analogue supply voltage and low digital core voltage
• On-chip voltage reference, on-chip PGA allows measuring voltages up to twice the reference voltage
• Programmable hysteresis and response time, configurable as wake-up or reset source comparators
• Up to ±500µA, can be used as a bias or for generating a custom reference voltage
• On-chip debug circuitry facilitates full-speed, nonintrusive in-system debug (no emulator required)
• Pipelined instruction architecture; executes 70% of instructions in 1 or 2 system clocks
• Hardware SMBus™ (I2C™ compatible), 2 x SPI™, and UART serial ports available concurrently
• Can switch between clock sources on-the-fly; useful in implementing various power saving modes
• External oscillator: crystal, RC, C, or CMOS clock
• Temperature rating range from -40 to +85°C
