MIKROE-6872

MIKROE-6872 is a Proximity 24 Click compact add-on board designed for proximity detection and high-resolution ambient light sensing for modern embedded and industrial systems. This board is based on the VCNL4030X01-GS08, a fully integrated proximity and ambient light sensor with an onboard infrared emitter. It combines a 16-bit ADC for both proximity and ambient light channels, a wide operating range of up to 300mm for proximity detection, an ambient light measurement span from 0.004lx to 16768lx, and an I2C interface operating up to 400kHz, along with interrupt pin featuring programmable upper and lower thresholds, adjustable persistence, intelligent optical cross-talk cancellation, and Filtron™ technology for human-eye-like spectral response and superior background light suppression. It is well suited for touch screen locking and power saving, automotive presence detection, force feedback systems, collision detection in robots and toys, optical switching, and intelligent dimming.
