MIKROE-6517

MIKROE-6517 is a Gesture Click compact add-on board designed to enable intuitive, contactless human–machine interaction by providing imaging-based gesture and proximity detection. It is based on the APDS-9500, an imaging-based proximity and gesture sensor. This sensor supports recognition of 9 predefined gestures, including directional movements, circular motions, wave gestures, accessible through an I2C interface operating up to 400kHz, while also offering integrated proximity detection with object brightness and size outputs. In addition, it features cursor mode with X and Y coordinate output, SPI image output with selectable resolutions up to 60×60 pixels and 9-bit grayscale depth, strong ambient light immunity, and a dedicated interrupt pin for event-driven operation. It is well suited for gesture-controlled interfaces, touch-screen disable functions and replacing mechanical switches in hygienic, sealed or wear-prone applications.
