VDV501-770

VDV501-770 is a Scout® Pro Max network cable tester with remote set designed for installation, verification, and troubleshooting of voice, data, and video cabling systems. It tests RJ11, RJ12, RJ45, and F-connector terminated cables and provides both analogue and digital tone generation for cable identification and tracing. The tester measures cable length using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology and accurately locates cable faults by displaying the distance to the fault. It supports custom test report generation and test history storage for documentation purposes. The unit tests both shielded and unshielded cables, traces up to 20 cable runs simultaneously using the included remotes, performs hub blink testing for port identification, measures active and passive Power over Ethernet (PoE), tests POTS telephone lines, and detects active network capabilities, making it suitable for comprehensive network cable qualification and maintenance tasks.
