The S1731-46R is a 2-way surface-mount Jumper Link for use with the PCB tracks. It has copper contact with a 100% tin over nickel plated termination. It is designed to link PCB tracks where through-hole solutions are not possible/practical. The typical applications include use on aluminium backplanes in power applications.
