M52173/24VDC is an energise-to-hold electromagnet. It is designed to deliver high clamping forces with controlled magnetic activation. The unit is constructed around a solenoid (copper wound coil) mounted within a high-quality, highly permeable iron assembly, ensuring strong magnetic performance with low magnetic losses and low remanence. The electromagnet body consists of a sturdy iron cylinder with a bright nickel-plated finish, passivated for durability and corrosion resistance, and incorporates body mounting for secure installation. Typical applications include door locking mechanisms for access control and security, fire door holding systems, medical devices and equipment, feeder systems for automated packaging machinery, pick-and-place equipment, power generation and industrial automation systems.
