Product Overview
AD8418 is a high voltage, high resolution current shunt amplifier. This device performs bidirectional current measurements across a shunt resistor in a variety of automotive and industrial applications, including motor control, battery management, and solenoid control. It features an initial gain of 20V, with a maximum ±0.15% gain error over the entire temperature range. The buffered output voltage directly interfaces with any typical converter. It is widely used in application such as high-side current sensing in motor controls, solenoid controls, power management, low-side current sensing, diagnostic protection etc.
- Offset drift is 0.1µV/°C typical
- Maximum ±400µV voltage offset over full temperature range
- Power supply operating range is 2.7V to 5.5V
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters Included, bidirectional operation
- High common-mode input voltage range is (-2V to +70V operating), (-4V to +85V survival)
- Common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) is 86dB, dc to 10kHz
- -3dB bandwidth is 250kHz typ at (TA = -40°C to +125°C)
- Slew rate is 1V/µs typ at (TA = -40°C to +125°C)
- Operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C
- Packaging style is 8-lead MSOP
