Product Overview
AD835 is a complete four-quadrant, voltage output analogue multiplier, fabricated on an advanced dielectrically isolated complementary bipolar process. It generates the linear product of its X and Y voltage inputs with a -3dB output bandwidth of 250MHz (a small signal rise time of 1ns). Full-scale (-1V to 1V) rise to fall times are 2.5ns (with a standard RL of 150 ohm) and the settling time to 0.1% under the same conditions is typically 20ns. Its differential multiplication inputs (X, Y) and its summing input (Z) are at high impedance. Normal operation is from ±5V supplies. Though providing state-of-the-art speed, this is simple to use and versatile. Typical applications are very fast multiplication, division, squaring, wideband modulation and demodulation, phase detection and measurement, sinusoidal frequency doubling, video gain control and keying, voltage-controlled amplifiers and filters.
- Low impedance output voltage (W) can provide up to ±2.5V and drive loads as low as 25ohm
- Minimal external components are required to apply this to variety of signal processing applications
- High input impedances (100Kohm 2pF) make signal source loading negligible
- High output current capability allows low impedance loads to be driven
- DC-coupled voltage output simplifies use
- Differential voltage range is ±1V (VCM=0V, TA=25°C, VS=±5V, RL=150 ohm, CL <= 5pF)
- Common-mode voltage range from -2.5 to 3V (TA=25°C, VS=±5V, RL=150 ohm, CL <= 5pF)
- Bias current is 10µA typ (TA=25°C, VS=±5V, RL=150 ohm, CL <= 5pF)
- 8-lead standard small outline package [SOIC-N]
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
