Product Overview

40W adapter reference board is intended to be a form, fit and function test platform for low cost charger applications to show the state of art 950V CoolMOS™ P7 superjunction (SJ) MOSFET (IPA95R450P7). This board is designed to fit a very small form factor while maintaining high efficiency, low standby power and various modes of protection for a highly reliable system. The 950V CoolMOS™ P7 has a higher breakdown voltage allowing use in applications which require a high input voltage or gives increased design flexibility to reduce losses in the snubber network. Target applications are charger/adapter and SMPS.
  • Quasi-resonant fly back using Infineon's second generation controller (ICE2QS03G)
  • Shows the advantages of the 950V CoolMOS™ P7 SJ MOSFET technology switching performance
  • Demonstrates snubberless fly back operation at 40W of output power
  • High efficiency and low cost
  • Reduced PCB hotspot due to elimination of the snubber network
  • High breakdown voltage for operation from unstable grids
  • 90 to 265VAC input voltage, 19VDC output voltage, 2.1A output current
