SEGGER develops software development tools and ANSI C software components (middleware) for embedded systems in several industries such as telecom, medical technology, consumer electronics, automotive industry and industrial automation. SEGGER's intention is to cut software development time for embedded applications by offering compact flexible and easy to use middleware, allowing developers to concentrate on their application.

SEGGER also created highly integrated, cost-effective programming and development tools, such as the Flasher (stand-alone flash programmer) and the industry leading J-Link/J-Trace emulator. This is the only JTAG emulator that can add SEGGER's patented Flash breakpoint software to an RDI compliant debugget to enable the setting of multiple breakpoints in Flash while running on an ARM device which is typically hindered by the tow available hardware breakpoints.
