Easy power modules

Easy is our all-new family of tailor-made modules for PV string and multi-string inverters. It comprises a full portfolio of 3-level configurations up to 200+ kW of power, making it ideal for solar applications that could benefit from a three-level topology. The Easy portfolio includes solutions for single-phase and three-phase photovoltaic inverters.

EiceDRIVERTM gate driver

Every switch needs a driver, and the right driver makes a difference. EiceDRIVERTM 1ED Compact family with Miller clamp or separate output and EiceDRIVERTM Enhanced 1ED-F2 family with DESAT and Miller clamp provide precise protection features to the switches in solar string inverter. 1ED-F2 has more than 10 years production history in solar without returns.

EconoDUALTM3

EconoDUALTM3 meets the demands for flexibility and optimised electrical performance at the highest levels of reliability. These 17 mm-high modules have screw power terminals and are easy to assemble. An optimised gate driver connection is possible by placing the driver on top of the module. Low parasitic stray inductance and optimised thermal resistance to heat sink support excellent inverter solutions.

Implementation approaches to energy storage systems

Infineon’s unique expertise in energy generation, transmission, power conversion, and battery management makes us the natural partner to advance Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) in terms of efficiency, innovation, performance and optimal cost. ESS can be broadly segmented into before the meter, behind the meter.

The power conversion system (PCS) handles AC/DC and DC/AC conversion, with energy flowing into the batteries to charge them or being converted from the battery storage into AC and fed into the grid. Suitable power switching solutions depend on the voltages supported and the power flowing. In addition, the battery management system (BMS) handles cell charging, balancing and health.

CoolSiCTM MOSFET 1200 V

Infineon's CoolSiCTM MOSFET 1200 V cutting losses by 50% for extra energy. As the battery bank makes up the major portion of the total system costs for Energy Storage Systems, a change from super-junction MOSFET to 1200 V CoolSiCTM MOSFET can lead to approx. two percent extra energy without increasing battery size.

OptiMOSTM & CoolMOSTM

Infineon's low-voltage (300 V) OptiMOSTM and high-voltage (400-900 V) CoolMOSTM power MOSFETs are developed to increase efficiency, power density and cost-effectiveness.
